Revive & Thrive has teamed up with City Dressing to offer yet another free service for your town or city centre.
A City Dressing audit is a comprehensive study of the latent Outdoor Media in a town. Using this latent media will help any town to raise revenue, promote events and change perceptions. Examples include lamp column banners, building banners, projection sites and High Street free standing media.
The audit also looks at negative sites that are giving the town a bad name, these include empty shops, derelict buildings, hoarding, waste land and vandalised street furniture. City Dressing can propose solutions to convert these to positive assets for the town.

Additionally, City Dressing is looking to increase footfall and the profile of places via two main initiatives at the moment -
1. White Box Retail,
The ultimate in temporary retail White Box Retail is designed to attract the most influential and sought after brands to chosen locations. The solution works by offering the brands a unique package. Firstly immediate, ground breaking shop fit that can create stunning interiors from any unit and secondly the best locations for their brand.
The shop fit is ground breaking because it uses a ready fit solution that has its own walls, display and fittings in one package. The designs can be pre chosen then fitted into any shop. This means brands can move in and out of spaces fast.
To find the best locations we offer a short list of towns that have agreed to work with White Box Retail. Whether councils or BIDS these towns have ensured they will find a space and also promote the brand whilst giving us all the information we need to attract the brand. This is joined up marketing giving the brand the opportunity to leverage off the existing town promotion and the town the opportunity to promote the retail offer with an influx of new and exciting brands.
At City Dressing we are constantly looking for ways to break down the barriers to retail and an affordable shop fit package, flexibility and a guaranteed audience are the three USP’s of White Box Retail.
Note: City Dressing launched Hotel Retail in 2009 which for three years was the top Pop Up shop solution for major brands. In that time we worked with Boden, Pretty Polly, UK TV, Mary Kay, Henry Holland, Disney Couture and Pop Store.
2. Event Promotion – two new products
City Dressing is launching two new products to help towns promote events and attract more footfall.
The Event Tower is a three metre weighted structure with three sides that can each promote the town and events. The towers were originally invented as the mile markers for the Great North Run back in 2008. Six years later and the towers are still seen at all the major running events but have been adapted for the High Street. As a temporary structure they do not need planning permission but due to their size and structure they have been proven to dramatically increase the popularity and perception of events.
The Self Install Lamp Column banner is a vital addition to our range of lamp column banners (the largest in the country). For the first time a banner can be changed daily or weekly to promote individual events like Markets and Plays. The system has an inbuilt winch that can release a banner to the ground and wind it up again.
